Karen Baudendistel
Mrs. Karen Baudendistel is an associate at Lemp & Murphy, P.C. She has focused her practice on defense of civil suits in Missouri and Illinois since 1990. During that time, she has resolved hundreds of lawsuits and first chaired over twenty jury trials to verdict. In 1999, she and her partner Jack Quinn achieved the number one defense verdict in the State of Missouri defending Mitek in a products liability case. In 2011, she achieved the number seven defense verdict in Missouri defending Long Elevator in a negligent installation case. In addition to trial work, Karen has drafted and argued appeals in the Missouri and in the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2002, Karen was named to the St Louis Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class.
Education
Karen graduated with honors from Carleton College with a major in History. During college, she spent her Junior year studying Japanese language and Asian culture at Doshisha University in Kyoto, Japan. She continued her education at Washington University Law School in St. Louis, where she was on the law review Journal of Urban and Contemporary Law.
Bar Admission
Mrs. Baudendistel is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois as well as in the Eastern District Court of Appeals in Missouri and federally in the Southern District of Illinois.
Outside The Office
She also enjoys handball, hiking and swimming throughout the year. Her greatest joy is spending time with her family: husband Tim and triplets Julie, Dan and Meghan. As a group, they enjoy local adventures and traveling to the corners of the world.
